At Casa Italia in Livigno, Simone Deromedis and Federico Tomasoni celebrated their exceptional performance, sharing the joy of competing together at home. The two friends stood side by side, medals around their necks, cracking jokes about their typically unpredictable moments on the slopes.

"We've been strangely very intelligent," Deromedis said with a grin. "Usually, we end up in the nets."

Tomasoni nodded, laughing. "When we're together, we normally make mistakes. Today, we protected each other's backs until the end."

The pair's easy banter reflected the camaraderie that defined their race. Ski cross is a contact sport on snow, with four racers hurtling down a twisting course at high speeds, jostling for position over jumps and through banked turns. Communication between competitors at such intensity is rare.

"We even talked to each other during the race," Tomasoni revealed. "We'd say, 'Watch out, I'm coming.'"

That coordination proved significant for their performances. Both athletes emphasized how their friendship and mutual support throughout the competition helped them navigate the demanding course successfully.

At Casa Italia, the celebration continued with teammates and supporters, reflecting the pride of competing on home snow in front of an Italian crowd. The athletes expressed gratitude for the opportunity to race in such conditions and acknowledged the support they received from their team and fellow competitors.
